Running and Stress Incontinence


Running...for those who are runners or have been runners, losing the ability or desire to run can be frustrating or even devastating. I know for me personally, running is my me time and a huge part of who I am. It keeps me sane. After having my children, running was extremely hard for many reasons... I was weak, I felt heavy, it was hard and I would often leak urine. Treating stress urinary incontinence is one of the most rewarding things to treat bc it can be quick, not always, but often times it is and most women see very quick results.


When we lost the ability to run bc we can't control our bladders or our body isn't allowing us to, we are also creating a potential decline in our mental health and overall physical health. One of the main reasons I choose to treat the pelvic floor is because it is treating a muscle dysfunction, but it's also preventing a lot of other illnesses and issues.
