As a mother of 3, I too have had pelvic floor dysfunction. I knew I did NOT want to live with pain, incontinence, rectus diastasis, and vaginal pressure/prolapse. I took matters into my hands and treated based on my knowledge base.
In my 4 years experience, pelvic floor dysfunction does not discriminate, and can affect vaginal or cesarean births, women of all ages, races and sizes. When it comes to certain scenarios, some women tend to have worse symptoms and those include:
-More than one pregnancy or pregnant w/ multiples
-4th degree tear (just come on in!)
-pushing more than 2 hours
-forcep assisted deliver (just come on it!)
-large babies (9lbs or greater just come on in!) but size doesn't really matter either:)
-pain and/or vaginal pressure or heaviness
-DRA
So many of my post partum women have exclaimed, this was a game changer and the weekly visits are therapeutic and a form of self care. Ready to heal, let's chat!
