Post-Partum

When it comes to pelvic floor therapy, my ultimate dream professionally would be that every post partum mom would get a referral to pelvic floor therapy. After my 3rd baby, I was having pelvic floor spasms, urinary incontinence, bowel issues, terrible lower back pain and anxiety/depression that was due to rectus diastasis. After my 3rd, my body took longer to recover and I had less time than ever to dedicate to my own health. I did though, make time to recover my pelvic floor dysfunction. The bowel/bladder and pain issues resolved fairly quickly with special care. The rectus diastasis and pain took a little longer (and that is normal).
At Optimize, we have the flexibility to see you once a week, every other week, or twice a week. Bring your newborn if you wish. We have a place to shower if you want to take a long hot shower. Maybe during maternity leave is too soon and that's ok too. We welcome anyone who is ready to improve pelvic health and overall mind/body wellness.
